Ingemārs Butkevičs, CEO of Pelegrin SIA, leads the production of some of the world’s most exceptional light aircraft—Tarragon. Known for flawless quality, outstanding performance, and bold engineering solutions, Tarragon stands at the forefront of modern ultralight aviation.

A passionate aviator himself, Butkevičs obtained his pilot’s license to experience firsthand the aircraft he had long admired. In 2021, his journey led him to Tarragon, where he continues to drive innovation and excellence in aircraft manufacturing.

A vision that took flight

Tarragon was born from a simple but ambitious idea—to create an ultralight aircraft that is lighter, faster, and more advanced than anything before. In 2009, aviation enthusiasts Igors Zvjagins and Valentin Vasjak saw the Millennium Master in flight and were inspired to build something even better. Just a year later, they established Pelegrin SIA and built their first aircraft. With the support of Aivars Lejietis, who joined as an investor in 2012, the team took their vision to the next level. Collaborating with C.F.M. Air s.r.l., they refined the design and developed Tarragon, setting a new standard in ultralight aviation.

Built for performance

Tarragon is designed for pilots who want a fast, light, and efficient aircraft. Made from carbon fiber and advanced materials, it is both strong and easy to handle, ensuring a smooth and responsive flying experience.

It offers high speed and fuel efficiency, making it ideal for those who want performance without excess weight. The Rotax 900 series engine provides reliable power, while the constant-speed propeller helps maintain a stable and efficient flight.

The fighter-jet-style canopy, created by JOSEF WEISS, gives pilots a wide, clear view and protects against UV rays, ensuring comfort in all conditions.
