Latvia's skeleton hero Martins Dukurs wrote history yet again on January 18, becoming European champion for the tenth time. He has not been beaten for the continental title since 2010, reports.

Martins sealed his title by winning an event at Innsbruck, nosing ahead of Sungbin Yun of South Korea in second place and Germany's Axel Jungk in third.

His brother Tomass finished in fifth place in the race and secured fourth place in the European Championship rankings in which Axel Jungk was second and Russia's Aleksander Tretiakoff in third.
