King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands began a two-day visit to Latvia June 11, reports.

The king met President Raimonds Vējonis at Riga Castle and will be taking part in various events throughout the day before a banquet in the evening.

To mark 100 years of Latvian independence, King Willem-Alexander will present President Vējonis with a copy of Rijks, Masters of the Golden Age at the National Library of Latvia. The book, by designer Marcel Wanders, depicts various masterworks from from the collection of the Rijksmuseum.
